The purpose of this fund
The purpose of the Theatre Artist Residency Scheme is to offer professional theatre artists the opportunity to create a year-long programme of work in partnership with arts centres, festivals and local authorities. In each case, the specific contents of the work programme will be designed by the theatre artist in collaboration with an arts centre or festival and a local authority.
Please Note: In response to the current COVID-19 crisis, successful applicants to the Dance and Theatre Artist Residency scheme may be asked to revise details on how they will successfully deliver activities in the event the current COVID-19 related restrictions continue. Examples of this might include alternative timeline of activities or the initiation of online rehearsals or remote group participation activities (assisted, for example, via technology-enabling tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack etc.) or other innovative and collaborative methods.
