Brightening Air | Coiscéim Coiligh, is a nationwide, ten-day season of arts experiences brought to you by the Arts Council taking place across the country and online from 11 to 20 June, 2021.

It is a unique artistic response to a unique period of our history; a season of events that mark our emergence from the pandemic, the resilience of the arts sector and offer hope and opportunities for the public to reengage with the arts.

From floating light spectacles travelling the length of the River Shannon to intimate performances in front gardens, the premiere of new work by one of Ireland’s most internationally-celebrated visual artists and events for children, families and the elderly, this diverse, colourful and illuminating season is set to reinvigorate audiences nationwide as we emerge from COVID-19.
