In September 2015 we published our new ten-year strategy, Making Great Art Work, in which we set out how we will lead the development of the arts in Ireland over the next decade. Our strategy has five priority areas:
- The Artist
- Public Engagement
- Investment Strategy
- Spatial and Demographic Planning
- Developing Capacity

At the heart of our strategy is a vision for the arts in Ireland grounded in a sense of people and place, where the arts are truly valued as a vital feature of our daily lives and where ambitious and innovative artists are supported to make work of excellence.
Making Great Art Work is a strategy of change and renewal. To realise our vision, we recognise we will have to do things differently. We also will work with and support our partners, artists and arts organisations to achieve change.
Making Great Art Work will be implemented through three three-year plans starting in 2017.
Three-Year Plan 2023-2025
The third Making Great Art Work three-year plan is reflective of our vision and goals while embracing change and planning towards 2025 and beyond.
