In the period since 2018, there has been significant, positive growth in the Traditional Arts. An increase in available funding has met with an enthusiastic, creative and ambitious response from across the Traditional Arts community. The Traditional Arts is entering a new, more confident phase where artists and audiences alike are seeking to express their work and experience it in diverse ways. The Arts Council aims to adapt its policies and strategies to reflect the changes in the sector and the needs of the traditional arts community.
The current Traditional Arts Policy has come to an end and a new policy for the artform is required to align with the final 3 years of Making Great Arts Work (MGAW). As part of the policy development the Arts Council will be conducting public consultation. Part of this process will be a public survey and we are seeking your assistance.
We are asking artists, organisations, academics and traditional arts enthusiasts to complete this survey. Click here to complete the survey now.
The survey should take less than ten minutes and your participating will be invaluable in ensuring we gather the relevant information required to assist us to implement an effective traditional arts policy.
