Working Together
If you are in receipt of an Arts Council award, you must acknowledge this support accordingly. You can do this with our logos and credits.
Acknowledging Arts Council funding is important because it is important that people know where their money is being invested.
The work you produce with Arts Council support helps to make the case that public funding is being put to effective use. Using our funding logos lets members of the public see the value of Arts Council support.
Acknowledgement
These guidelines will show you how to acknowledge Arts Council funding and use our logo correctly.
We should only be referred to as ‘The Arts Council’ or ‘An Chomhairle Ealaíon’. The only exception is when an event or programme takes place abroad, ‘The Arts Council of Ireland’ may then be used. Our logo will always remain the same.
Events in Northern Ireland: ‘The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon’ may be used to differentiate between ourselves and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
If you have sponsorship or funding is secured from other sources, you must still acknowledge Arts Council funding. Acknowledgement should be proportionate to and reflective of the level of funding provided by the Arts Council, and by other sources.
All press releases, interviews, public statements and event speeches should feature a written or verbal acknowledgement of our support. This acknowledgement should be made throughout the duration of your funding.
For example: “This tour to seven venues nationwide is funded by the Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon.”
Or: “The organisation acknowledges the financial support of the Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon in making this exhibition possible.”, etc.
Social Media is an important part of publicising your work and acknowledging Arts Council funding. We ask any funded artist/organisation to tag us on any/all of your social media channels when posting about Arts Council-funded work. This is including in profile bios as well as individual related posts. You should use the hashtag #ArtsCouncilSupported.
You should also use the relevant Arts Council logo on any images, including social media banners, etc. where possible.
The Arts Council’s social media handles are:

A promotional trailer is available from the Arts Council specifically for use in cinemas and on screens. This trailer must be used prior to every film screening at festivals and in cinemas and arts centres funded by the Arts Council.
Cinemas, venues, and film festivals can contact the Arts Council at digital@artscouncil.ie to request the file.

In the cases where the Arts Council has supported the individual writer or illustrator in the creation of the published work:
